Golden Child Wines is a collaboration between grape grower David Hamilton and winemaker son James. Our grapes are grown sustainably in the Kuitpo sub-region of the Adelaide Hills (no synthetic herbicides, pesticides or fertilisers). Our wines are made using natural yeast fermentation and are bottled with minimal additives.
David Hamilton established the family vineyard in 1997. The elevation (330m-380m) and close proximity to the coast (15km) make it ideal for growing premium cool climate grapes. In addition to providing son James with fruit for Golden Child, David has supplied grapes for almost twenty years to some of South Australia’s best known wineries. James has extensive winemaking experience, having worked in Australia and California over the past fifteen years.
